Employee Spotlight | David Moosbrugger

David Moosbrugger is a Superintendent located in our Charlotte Office with over 25 years of construction experience.  He is currently working on the new CM at Risk Roberta Road Middle School for Cabarrus County.

It’s the weekend; what are you doing to relax?
“I enjoy spending time with my wife and our two boys on the lake.”

What about your job gets you excited to go to work every day?
“I enjoy seeing the progress of the job site each day and taking them from drawings to reality. Seeing the tangible results of the team’s hard work really motivates me and gives a great sense of accomplishment.”

What team are you cheering for?
“As far as college teams…O-H-I-O. I also love watching my boys play football and lacrosse.”

What is your favorite part about working for Shelco?
“I have always admired Shelco‘s culture. I have been mentored and encouraged by the leadership team as well as my coworkers in both the office and the field. Over the last 20 years I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with people that I have both learned from and forged many true friendships.”

What was your favorite project you have been a part of?
“It is tough to pick just one project. I enjoyed working with Lincoln Harris on Capitol Towers project. I learned a lot and was proud of the outcome. On the public sector, I would have to say Catawba Ridge High School.”

If you could have lunch with anyone who has ever lived, who would it be?
“I lost both my parents in the last 3 years and I would love to have the opportunity to have a lunch with them. Looking back, there are things that I wish I could have said and I would love to tell them about how much my sons have grown.”

“By far Shelco has provided the most successful experience with the CM at Risk delivery method to ASU by virtue of their dedication and straight forward dealings with us. I would retain this firm as my first choice on any future CM at Risk project and cannot recommend them highly enough for your committee consideration.”
