Winston-Salem State University Hill Hall Student Success Center Ribbon Cutting
The Hill Hall Student Success Center Ribbon Cutting was held March 20, 2014 at 3:30 pm in the heart of Winston-Salem State University’s academic core. This was the first project completed by the joint venture Shelco, Inc. and R.J. Leeper Construction (Shelco/Leeper).
The Student Success Center is a 38,000 SF adaptive reuse of the Hill Hall science classroom building originally constructed on the campus in 1964. Clark Nexsen Architecture & Engineering’s design included stripping the building down to the existing concrete and steel structure, concrete floor systems, and roof systems and converting it to a state of the art academic Student Success Center. This CM at Risk project is seeking LEED Gold certification.
